On this blog I will document my journey through research that I am working on in school. Since the Fall 2019 semester, I have been working on arctic geophysics research that will ultimately lead to a trip to Utqiagvik, Alaska during Spring Break. On this trip, I will (hopefully) deploy the devices I am working on successfully. My research relates to the reflectivity of a surface (albedo) and its effect on structural integrity. I will use micro-controllers to utilize devices that measure things like light absorbance and force to quantify the Sun’s effect on the strength of sea ice. Most posts on here will focus on my progress during the research. I hope that I can look back in a few months and see a nice progression from start to finish.
